Martil Rent LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA (Entity ID: 0008095779). Our registered address is 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA. We operate vacation rentals in Martil, Morocco. For the purposes of GDPR, we are the data controller of your personal data.

2. What data we collect

When you submit an inquiry or book a stay, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• The dates and number of guests for your intended stay
• Your message to us
• Your country (optional)
• Booking records once a stay is confirmed (dates, property, total amount, status)

We do not store financial data on our servers — payment details are handled by external payment providers.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• Respond to your inquiry and manage your booking
• Send booking confirmations, replies, and other transactional emails
• Comply with our legal and tax obligations
• Operate and improve the website

4. Lawful basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract — to manage your booking and stay
• Legitimate interest — to operate and improve the website and respond to inquiries
• Legal obligation — to keep accounting records as required by law
• Consent — for any optional marketing communications, which we do not currently send

5. Data processors we use

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Hosted in Frankfurt, EU.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Based in the USA.
• Vercel — web hosting. Based in the USA, with edge servers globally.

6. International transfers

Your data may be transferred between the European Union, the United States, and Morocco depending on the service involved. Where transfers leave the EU, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and on the safeguards provided by the relevant processor.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

• Inquiries that did not lead to a booking: 24 months from last contact
• Bookings: 7 years from the end of the stay (for tax and accounting purposes)
• Email replies: kept with the inquiry or booking they relate to
• Server logs: typically 30 days

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Morocco's Law 09-08 on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict processing
